A Short Break
This is what I posted on Pen of Jen today.
I will be taking a short break with the blog. I will return on Monday, and I may sneak a few comments in on other blogs.
I usually keep this as my thoughts and opinions and try to keep the Pen of Jen personal life somewhat to my other blog McBenning School, but I have a rather pressing need for an extended Pen of Jen family member. I am asking my blog friends to pray for this family member, and lift him up to the Lord. I was correctly reminded that we all were sinners once. Thank you dear friend for reminding me.
I ask for forgiveness myself to my blog friends, if I have come off as smug, like I have a great secret. I do not. Being a Christian means that I have willingly acknowledged that I was a sinner and I could not fix this myself. Sometimes I realize that I am quite direct, and I must say that I never want one to think that I am not saddened when I see another living so far out of the will of God.
Often I realize that I am judging others. So I will be working through prayer on not doing so. I think that when I write I am not, but the one thing I know is that I too am influenced by others and the world. Please forgive me.

Jen, you have nothing to reproach yourself for.
Whatever the events be assured of my prayers for your extended and may such thoughts at this time be with you all.
Jen, I will be praying for you but I have always seen you as more than fair and never smug or arrogant. Yes, we are all sinners either saved by grace or still lost because we choose to do things our own way. When we see others living in a way that is not according to God's will that is just a fact. We are called upon to make decisions about everything in our life and to do that we have to make judgements. I believe God calls that "righteous judgement." It is those judgements that cause us to act and be what God wants us to be. To have a critical spirit is wrong but in love to see a thing and make a judgement accordingly is not wrong. It takes a very loving person to speak the truth in love and it takes nothing at all to just go along with the crowd. You are a "Peter " to me and I pray that God shows you the great and wonderful gift He has given to you to use for him. Don't get dicouraged when other don't appreciate the light that you have they didn't appreciate the Lord Jesus Christ either. Look at all the abuse he took from people. It is the heart that counts and I believe that your heart is one that cares for others. Take heart dear friend and My prayer is that YOU let God keep on using you.
I am praying for that family member that has such need. May God show him the way .

Jesus has redeemed us. He has paid it all.
I John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
You've done that.
Susan
I LOVE 1 John 1:9 and cling to it as my "bar of soap" often! A big AMEN here for Connie's comment and thoughts. She is a dear Christian woman full of encouragement as well as Penless.
Jen, I'm sorry for my curt comment and the use of the word Idiotic in one of my former comments. I hate to think I have offended anybody. It breaks my heart to think I may have failed my Lord by presenting an unloving attitude. I didn't mean for it to come across as unloving or unchristian at all. Please forgive me.
