Sledding In The Southwest

In light of the recent cold weather that hit the east coast, I thought that I would share what kids do without actual snow. They still go sledding!!

Every year our home school group goes to White Sands and goes sledding. It is very fun, and instead of having to stop because you are too cold, you have to stop because you are too hot!

White Sands was the busiest that I have ever seen it, and there was still room for the 50 or so in our group.

At first it looked like snow then I noticed the t-shirt. What fun!

Hmmm couldn't imagine it! We sled in the freezing cold snow.... but the kids don't seem to notice the cold unless they stop!! We light a fire to keep warm.... hmm quite the contrast!

I must admit it looks so much like snow, only far more appealing - given the hot weather.

Really wonderful photo's and all the kids look as if they are enjoying too.

Obviously very popular - given how many are taking part.
