Things Heard Around the School

I have incorporated "how to clean" in the daily school schedule, because many times we presume that our children understand the idea of say dusting. Well Third was dusting the top of the bookshelves(something heavily neglected) when FoUrTh came over me fake coughing and said "Mom, I am going to die of the black lung if Third doesn't stop dusting!!!"

I love home school, results are always gratifying! It is so neat to realize that a concept stuck, because it becomes part of their humor!!

It's Hotter

Tonight while driving home from my *new job* the tempurature at 7:30 pm was 104 degrees F.

So needless to say I was so thankful for my water bottle!

It is Hot!

I thought of something while driving today. I am going to buy oven mitts to wear on my hands until my car cools off a bit. I actually felt like I burned my palms in this heat!

Oh well, if I do this no one will laugh, in fact I bet I will start a trend! Hey, Pen of Jen is going to set a trend!

Scorching Heat, Parched, Seeing Mirages...

How's that for a dramatic title? It is 86 degrees F. and our swamp cooler just died:( Oh, and it is only 11:00 am.) So after my theatrical post, my kind landlord has already called the repairman. Just wanted to be melodramatic this morn!

Well, I am off to locate the water, as to quench my dry, hoarse, parched throat.
