Bummed...Not Any More
I mentioned to Bill a few minutes ago that I guess that I am not Christian enough for some in the blog world. I have been pondering this for a few minutes, sad and heavy hearted. Bill, who I love so much said something that just cheered me up. He told me "Jen, you are Christian enough for Christ"!
Amen.

Jen, your wonderful husband Bill is right, he has so beautifully expressed the importance of who really counts.
I luv the way both you and Bill are able to write of Christian beliefs in a welcoming and homely sort of way. This is far more appealing.
I do detest those whose "in your face" with colourful bold lettering -that looks like something from a neon sign in London - which only makes one turn away.
You have both captured beautifully the meaning of the Christian Faith and in sharing with others in a way - which I hope others may well aspire too.
Blessings this day.
Indeed!!! Can't believe you'd say, or feel, YOU weren't Christian enough. It oozes from you :o) Thank goodness it does, because it oozes all over me. Love you, Jen
Susan
Silly people who would think you're not Christian enough! Thank God for a godly husband to sooth hurt feelings.
Peter It really means a great deal to read your opinion. I pray that I am used any way that the Lord wishes.
I am not an in your face person, I prefer to be how one sees me. I live my faith, I live my role as a stay home wife and mom. That is it. I would never try and be anything other than that.
I am pleased to read that you *see* the real me...as is.
Thank you so much.

Susan, I really love you and I am so happy that I have met you and become a blog friend and a friend.
I had a moment of shock, being led by another to the belief that I was not behaving as a Christian. It saddened me, ever so much.
The reason I shared my statement and Bill's was to allow others to realize that being Christian is not easy, and makes one a mark for others to try and bring one down. I really wasn't professes too much about me as a Christian, but for another seemingly new Christian..
My prayers are heavy for American Christians...we are truly being clouded in our interpretation of what being a Christian means.
It is so very hard for Christians to come to grips with the fact that the world is very intertwined within our lives( me too). American values are not Christ's values and that is where the trouble is...we are able to discern the truth from the freedom.
Well I must say that I am so thankful that the Lord has given me such an honorable man. A man that truly takes his responsibilities so serious.
Love
Jennifer
Jackie You are so right...thank God for husbands!!!
Thank God for encouraging husbands!!!! And what a great line that was. So true!!! For what it's worth (from the girl whose choices have made her life a bit of a shambles!) I think you are a wonderful Christian lady and I have learned a lot from you!!
Since I am nosy, I read back aways in the comments to see what might have been written that caused you to feel that way and I didn't find anything. So, I hope it wasn't something that somebody said. It's kind of risky opening yourself up on a public blog, with so many mean people out there who just love to build themselves up by tearing others down. But I think that your writing is great!! =)
Kitty, I just love you and your upbeat happy way. Thank you for reading and encouraging me in my writing, I truly take into consideration every comment.
I am thinking of you and yours!
Jennifer
