May Madness!

A few weeks ago we studied 'Black Markets' in a unit study. This morning I came out after showering to the kitchen. Third was outside talking to Second and Fourth inside. (the screen was removed)

They were reenacting a Black Market as one of their skits. I laughed out loud! The traders were selling a slightly damaged replica of the Liberty Bell. The buyer seemed interested and 'hoped' he wasn't being duped!

I constantly am in joy being these silly- smart- gang of goofs. Every day I am delighted by the constant happiness, laughter and humor in my life. Whatever else goes on the world my family sure creates such an amazing safe zone!

UPDATE: one of the moms with photos are coming over today at 2pm with Field Day photos! I can't wait to share them!!!!!!!!!

I love observing children play and learn when they don't realize they are being observed!

However, having only one at home now, I don't get to do that too often!

Wow, your children are amazing in their 'role' play and what a good topic for them to choose!!

You indeed have a wonderful family.

I forgot to add.

Do they often have a 'Drama' day.

Say something from a book and take the part of the characters?

Hope you are all having a wonderful day as I have been blessed with more sunshine to enjoy sitting in the garden and recuperating.

Pam I delight in my gang of goofs every day! They always are my homemade comedy team!

I too have one leaving the nest. My oldest will be leaving in the fall for school! I am sad to see him move out, But I am so happy that he will be starting his life!

Peter they are constantly creating skits. In the home school group one girl actually gave her own written plays as gifts!
Oh and yes we have times where we have a play. They began early by creating story boards for the children's books, then they began rewriting the books. We have reenacted many stories from the Bible, and are working on writing a script based on Mark Twain's short story The man That Corrupted Hadley burg.( they will write it using 21st century value of money but otherwise stick close. I am hoping to have the kids work complete by June. But it may take longer)
