Homeschool Update

School Updates:

-By the end of January the kids have read 5 of the 66 books in the Bible. This is for our Reading the Bible in a year goal. Books completed: Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, and Ruth.

-We are beginning a new science session, working on Physical Science.

-We are continuing working on reading biographies, and each has read 6 biographies so far, and completed a book report, drawing/painting of subject, and a recommendation for the books.

-Typing is really improving for all three, as they use an interactive lesson to accomplish their learning.

-In History we are continuing learning about our early discoverers. The neat thing about the history book is that it was not subject to the rewriting of history, and is not politically correct. God is mentioned, along with faithful prayers.

-Grammar is surprisingly fun. We use Wanda Phillips grammar books. They are a step by step program, that takes one through grammar.

-Our screen writing staff is deep in a script and next week will begin rehearsing. Soon we will create a five to ten minute short of their work.
